1. There actually is a lot of female-on-male domestic violence.

I read somewhere that it's slightly less than male-on-female, like male-on-female occurs once every 14 minutes and female-on-male occurs once every 15 minutes.

12. True, but most of that is in response to repeated abuse, however,

as I am not want to admit it, I was the victim of female abuse from my last relationship. It does happen. It's tough when you've been raised to believe not to hit women. I'm 6'2" tall and could of put a stop to it easily, but I think I was more in utter amazement that this woman couldn't even consider what she was doing. The real amazing thing was that she is a feminist. I remember when I finally got through to her. She was in a particularly bad mood and we were in the kitchen cooking. It was pretty tight in there and she got pissed and pushed me back saying, "Get the hell out of the way!" Well, I tripped and went down cursing as I fell. I was really pissed when I got up. I remember grabbing her around the shoulders and saying, "You know what? Your lucky I'm a man who can handle his anger. I mean look at me and look at you. If I hit you just once, it's over. They call that abuse, what is it when you do it, defense?" Needless to say, I eventually left that relationship.

The men who think like that on that site are just painting the issue as a liberal one. It's part of their broad stroke technique. Their probably the kid who pointed at their sister while growing up after knocking her on the ground and said, "She made me do it."

13. Yup, I have personal experience with that

A male friend confided to me in the last year that his wife is abusive. I've been friends with her literally forever, and it's not something I would have imagined... It makes me really sad that anyone can be violent toward someone they love :(
