what did you expect?

Joking aside, can you talk to her to find out if she's always had so many accidents or if this is a new thing? She could be nervous about changes in her life, like a new job, and just not mindful of her surroundings. Or, it could be a run of bad luck. It does sound very odd, though.

If she didn't want attention, she wouldn't have called 9-11. Don't she know all the scheming I got up in this joint? I can't be having paramedics and 5-0 just walking around the place, what without a warrant and everyting.

18. Knew a nut with Munchausen by Proxie. She kept insisting her daughter

was being molested by her ex. I first knew there was a far deeper, more serious problem when she insisted that her child's drawing of a house (with a roof) was actually a PENIS. I have a kid the same age, drawing the same thing. Wasn't a penis. It was a house. She couldn't be pursueded and was dragging the child to shrink after shrink trying to find someone to validate her issues.

The second clue was when she told me that the devil had been to visit her (the night before), appearing at the foot of her bed.

The woman had been molested (allegedly) as a child, and I believe that she was projecting this story onto her child so that she could be the hero, the rescuer, the protector of her child.

Mental illness runs in her family. Have no idea how the scene has resolved itself. Indeed a tough, tough situation.

Even if your co-worker has this issue, is it truly a concern of yours, or merely of interest? Is it affecting your specific workplace issues?

19. I knew someone with M. by Proxy too.

(Minor spelling gripe: It's PROXY, not "proxie.")

She was trying to get her adult son diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. Now, I know a bunch of Aspies and he isn't one. He's maybe a bit depressive at times, but he's not autistic, and she was originally a cause of most of his problems anyway. Ever since he was little, she's been trying to "find out what's wrong with him," and had him in and out of pediatric psychiatric (in and outpatient) care for "behavioural problems," which is a sort of catch-all that can definitely apply to the difficulties of being hyperintelligent and a bright underachiever (I orta know). He could tell you stories about institutional child abuse that'd scare your pants off. Life got better for him once he got out from under his mom's thumb...

As to the other kind, I don't know much about it.
