Poll question: Did I do the right thing in donating to the democratic underground?

I gave a standard $35 for democratic underground. Mostly because it is well organized, and a great resource to contact other liberals. NOW! I can poll!!!! So my question is:

Did I do the right thing by donating?

I want to donate too, but I am looking for a user who can't afford a star. Someone did this for me last funding drive as I had no $$$ to spare, but now I do and I want to pass along the good karma.
