Cars Line Up For Free Gas - Some Run OUT Of Gass Waiting

EUCLID, Ohio -- There were major backups Monday morning at several northeast Ohio street corners as thousands of motorists lined up for free gas, Cleveland television station WEWS reported.

Charter One Bank sponsored the giveaway at five stations in Euclid, Cuyahoga Falls, Cleveland, North Olmsted and Garfield Heights.

Instead of paying $1.85 people got $20 worth of gas for nothing.

Hundreds of people waited for hours. Some even ran out of gas in line.

People said they didn't care about the wait.

"I was just getting ready to go to the gas station, but I see I don't have to go now and spend any money," Charlene Trailer said.
