7. yea, that's kinda sad.
american idiot is one of the best discs out there right now. i'd say tool or a perfect circle, but no. not quite appropriate to a 12 year old. :D

honestly, if you want your kid to listen to something really good, with political points and powerful messages, american idiot is a really good disc. you'd just have to have a discussion about the use of swear words and such...or find the radio edit?

especially in music, my want in music is more about looking within and being aware

14. well then, american idiot is probably your best bet.
it's not too horribly profane. a bit, but not too bad. heh...tool is great for political awareness, and social messages...but a little out there too...:D

try looking into the other green day discs too! all of them have a great message. (lemme see: american idiot, dookie, insomniac, nimrod, shenanigans, warning...i'm sure there are others out there, but all those discs are at least good, if not great.)

8. Try theentertainment page on my site... Yes, some of the bands
are Christian, but I have tried to avoid the worst Bible Thumping ones. The rest are secular.

12. Music
I think 3 Doors down is appropriate. Also, check out Alter Bridge "One Day Remains" or Dishwalla "Opaline".
