Poll question: Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Starting to think that they are the most misunderstood band in Rock&Roll, mainly because of the southern rock label and the jingoistic tendancies of the current "incarnation" of the band. I will admit to liking some of the newer songs from today's sub-Skynyrd because it is true to the music. Sadly, it's not true to the spirit. The original Skynyrd is where it is at. I have the compilation "Thyrty" which is 2-discs and the second disc is sadly mostly the current sub-Skynyrd. So, what are your thoughts?

1. Have no preference, but on a side note
I happened to see them (latest incarnation) at this thing called Jubilee in Montgomery, AL last summer. No comments about the band, but I can tell you I have never seen so many mullets and men with back hair in one location in all my life. :scared:

2. You need one more category
Love the early stuff only but switch off Freebird everytime it comes on because I am sick of it and it wasn't that good a song anyway. :-)

That's my choice.

4. Free Bird. Another example of a good song that is beaten to death.
Along with Hotel California and Stairway to Heaven.
