Ah the Grammys snooze fest a-go-go

No mention of Jimmy Smith (great funk meister organist ) who died last weds. he only had about 30 grammys.
The sound gets worse at the grammys every year as the dance and prance takes over.Joan & Mellisa Rivers will be there next year telling us about who is wearing what and how much it cost.
Atleast no one got stabbed and some great music got some notice .What was once a night of music has become a night of music buisiness. bla bla bla.....

I just don't get it with her. I hear no memorable melodies when I hear her perform.

and JLo had...to put it mildly...severe pitch problems.

4. I quit watching Grammys when Michael Jackson's Thrill won over the Police

Personally last time I watched the Grammy's it was a promo for the lasted boy bands and female virginal sluts.

5. I've been listening to Jimmy Smith the last four days

And not mentioning him at the Grammys was a crime.

The man was a genius and all who have played the organ since him owe him a debt.

The only bright spot I read about, since I haven't watched since the Sinatra snub, was that Brian Wilson won a grammy after 42 years in the music business.

Who says the Grammys are behind the times. :-)
