When Miss Millie, Sniffa, StopTheMorans and I went out for drinks last week, we commented that we should do his more often, and it had been a while since a big DU gathering.

Peeps Repub is big enough to accommodate many...but I like a lot of the Irish bars in the area (The Field? The Druid? River Gods?) The Field and River Gods is nearer to the Red Line too.

Half the places mentioned, I've never heard of. Meanwhile I find myself wondering if, say, that House of Science bar (or whatever it's called) down Mass. Ave. toward the river is congenial, or if it too will be too loud or too garish.

My experience of Field is, it's too small; if that's the other choice, I'd still prefer People's Republik.

I don't mean to be a hardass about this either, I think variety is the 57 varieties of life, and stuff like that there.

The Druid is very small.

Miracle of Science is also small...but they make killer drinks. Across the street is a real dump called the Cambridgeport Saloon. They don't even have fruit for their drinks at the Saloon.

It's been awhile (I missed the last one in the Fall and the convention gathering in July). If there's plenty of notice that would be great because I work a lot of Fridays and Saturdays at the moment, but I can switch the Saturdays to Sundays if I know ahead of time.

I too was hoping that we could do both something for the relative yocals in March and something inclusive of the "foreigners" in April as well. I think that would be doubly fantastic especially since it's been so long for a lot of us.
