My partner gave me a tire for Valentine's Day
But I really needed it!

Wouldn't have minded some roses with that tire, though. :eyes:

Is this the weirdest gift out there in DU-land? Or can you top that?

2. Well, it does beat
getting nothing at all. The way the finances are around here, if I needed a tire, I'd be thrilled.

Our anniversary is a week from today. Mr. NGU buys for one or the other, never both. Since the tax return comes next week, I guess that's when I'll get something.

7. Our ceremony anniversary was two weeks ago
and our relationship anniversary is next weekend. February is our personal month of Festivus. ;) He usually buys for just one as well, and I don't mind, really. All I want is flowers, though, and he just never gets that. Usually I buy him the flowers.

But on the whole, I'm not complaining, just enjoying saying "my BF got me a tire for Valentine's Day." :)

3. My woman's giving me an oil change.
But that's because she's been using my car exclusively to do a job and has put all of the 3,000 miles on it.

4. Batteries
No kidding. I once opened a VD package from an "admirer" and it had four (4) D-cell batteries. I did thank her for them.....:eyes:

6. Yowza
Thank goodness you didn't get hurt.

Yeah, my tire didn't put me in any danger; I just went out one morning and found it flat. But that was in early November and he was tired (heh...no pun intended) of me driving on a doughnut. (I didn't drive it much, just when I was in a bind.)

So, yes, I am very pleased to have the tire. :)

8. Was it a good tire like a Pirelli or Continental
or a cheapo from Sears?

Whitewall? All-season? Was mounting and balancing included?

I think you gotta judge this one on the merits of the details...

9. Uhhh, welllll
He's paying to get the flat tire repaired, or for a used tired, should the flat be unrepairable.

But I think it's the thought that counts.

10. Mine
Was a dozen long-stemmed roses and a pack of liquid Nyquil/Dayquil, from a BF who had surprised me by driving up from Richmond to NoVA. (He was a technical contractor who had been down there on a monthlong job.) I was on the couch feeling horrible and unable to respirate.

11. I tracked down my husband's lost baggage at
heathrow airport, British airways and united were useless. I talked to someone in unclaimed baggage, she not only found his bag, she had it sent to Sacramento airport and it was delivered this morning. I think that was a good goft.
