Well, that totally sucks

I was hit by a guy running a red light a few hours ago. The collision knocked me into a car in the oncoming lane which itself then hit a van. They took the guy who hit me to the hospital but he didn't seem badly hurt. I guess I'm okay but it sure ruined my afternoon.

8. The truck that hit me is pretty much smashed

My CRV looks pretty bad.
The car that I hit is probably kaput.
The van he was pushed into just a bit dinged up.

I believe the guy who caused everything was also... I'm a little hazy on the details because I was sitting in the EMS van while a lot of that was being sorted out. But I've since contacted my insurance company and left it to them to sort things out. Meanwhile, I'm getting drunk.

17. Don't assume you're okay

I was in a car accident a few years ago, and I felt okay at first, but the hospital found out that I had a bruised liver and bruised spleen, and the next day, the bruises came out, and my abs hurt so badly that I couldn't stand up from a chair without leaning on something.

I had to get out of bed by kind of rolling out and straightening up, because I couldn't sit up from a lying down position.

It was three months before I could return to my circuit training class, because I could not do situps.
