Tony's making churrasco, a lime rice pilaf, black beans and sour cream, an avacado salad and Cuban bread.

5. Roast chicken, carrots, green beans, potato salad, dinner rolls, and
strawberry shortcake for dessert. Speaking of which, I should go slice the strawberries now.

I was going to serve baked potatoes but opted for potato salad instead.

17. Pan seared salmon finished in the oven
along with roasted potatoes, green beans, and a baby spinach, sliced orange and avocado salad and good bread. I'm not sure about the wine, hubby usually likes to pick that out, probably a light California red. For those who like dessert, chocolate truffles from Whole Foods, dark, densely (yet silky) chocolate, and almost bittersweet.

23. Of course!
With green onions and cheese, too.

She also makes kick-ass chicken noodle, chicken dumpling, vegetable beef soups, her stews are awesome, and I've never had better enchiladas.

Boy, I'm gonna hate moving away to college!

29. It's a very good start. For some people, pasta is the food of the gods.
And cheese is just one sauce among many easy ones. Now, learn how to saute a chicken breast, scramble eggs, and make a decent pancake, and you will be way ahead of the curve. Good luck in school, my son is going next fall, too.

31. I can do more than most.
I just don't for the most part because my mom loves to cook. I still have some time, though, I won't be transferring to my four year college until fall '06, so I have a little while to hone my culinary skills. :)

26. probably just a big salad; I have some mixed spring greens
that need to be eaten today or tomorrow, and some of those good pickling cucumbers, baby roma tomatoes, croutons, fresh mushrooms, shredded cheese, red sweet peppers and an assortment of lovely dressings. I can also snip up some thin sliced deli ham into this salad if I wish.

I could also just make two and have my lunch ready for tomorrow.

I had a very big lunch,so am not hungry yet.

I could also grill a chicken breast and divide it between the two salads too.

Starting to sound really good here

28. Every year, for Valentine's we take a "trip" with the kids. This year it's
Mexico. They decorated the dining room and I made quesadillas, enchiladas, tamales, and tortillas with cinnamon and ice cream for dessert. It's a lot of fun! Happy Valentine's Day Paddy!
