My kids, in the backseat, this morning
Boy - Mom!!! She's touching my backpack!
Girl - Am not! That's MY backpack
Me - (Girl), your backpack is purple, his is read, can you not tell the difference?
Girl - Well, his backpack is on top of mine!
Me - Each one of you put your backpack in your own lap and keep it there until we get to the first school!

Mind you, they normally ride the bus, but there was no way my 50 pound third grader was going to lug 30 Capri Suns plus her backpack on the bus.

2. Wow. Better you than me.

Waiting politely to ask: "Um, why did she have 30 Capri Suns?"

5. Get out of my life!
"Mom said that you need to keep your appendages to yourself." (13-year-old girl to almost 3-yr-old boy)

5-year-old girl comes crying and screaming to me, "She said that brother was touching her with his peony, Mom! I don't like his peony!"

I'll let you guess as to what a "peony" is. :)

I'm afraid that at my funeral I will be require to sit upright in my coffin and tell them to quit bickering until after the service.
