saw Queensryche in concert tonight. it was awesome!
they played their greatest hits (alot of songs from empire) prior to intermission and then mindcrime post intermission. the article in the paper said that they would play mindcrime 2 but when i got there, i talked to some folks and they said that they would sample a couple songs from MC2. none of it happened. they just gave a sneak peak at MC2. that was it. a little disappointed as i went by the article. oh well, it was still a great concert. very theatrical. i can't wait to see MC2 and see what they have to say about bushco and his illegal war, abu ghraib, condi lies, the rigged elections, and the list goes on and on. they already mentioned all the war mongering going on. yup, it's going to be good.

at one point, the weirdest thing happened. some guy got on stage and starting screaming something. security was all over him, of course. but i've never seen this before: they held him and injected him with some sedative and he went limp. they carried him off stage. i didn't think they could just drug someone to control them. especially since the 2 security guards looked like they had him in fairly good control. i don't know if that was part of the show or what. if not, they deserve an oscar.

anyways, chris de garmo still rocks my world 15 yrs later. unbelievable. i've never seen another guitarist to exude so much sex when he's playing. when he strikes that pose of his and moves like he does, i could just watch him play alllllll night long. sorry for my shameless, wanton lust. i just saw him and boy was he yummy.

geoff tate's voice is still amazing--unless he's lip syncing. i can never tell at concerts cuz i can't see that far away.

i was going to post some pics but i forgot my camera at home. sorry guys. serves me right for taking a nap in the afternoon. i was rushing around and ran off without my camera, phone, and cash. it's a wonder i even remembered my keys. :silly:

anyways, it was packed considering it is a monday night and valentine's day to boot. now i'm really looking forward to MC2 which is coming sometime this year.

Excellent lyrics amazing sound and Geoff Tate's voice wow!

I am envious to say the least. If you don't have this Queen of the Ryche E.P. 1983 try and get it it's excellent.

6. i'm really glad you suggested this. i realized last night that i don't
have any of their albums anymore. i must have lost it in all the moves. i'm going to replace some of them and i'll include queen of the ryche e.p. on my list.

do you know if he lip syncs in concert? if he can sing like that live, he is a tremendous vocalist. what a range and his voice has such a distinct quality to it. he's really amazing.

10. that is really amazing that he sounds like that live--and after all these
years too. some artists don't protect their voices and destroy it by smoking or whatnot. good for him.

3. It would make sense that it was an act. If you remember, the first
Mindcrime had quite the bit of needle play in it to shut people up ;-)

4. Wow!
Nice to see these guys are still around. It is sort of funny and coincidental. I am going through this phase right now where I am listening to old groups I listened to in the 80's and rediscovering them now. I need to add Queensrchye to that list.
