Edited on Tue Feb-15-05 02:27 PM by pres2032
Which two US states are the only ones to have a rebellion among itself and actually form two rival governments?

15. Rhode Island and Virginia/West Virginia
Not sure if the division of VA involved rival governments, but there was once a democratic rebellion in Rhode Island which declared the state government illegal/obsolete.
