Why do dogs torment other dogs by pooping in front of them . . .
. . . as just on the other side if the fence that separates them.

Cruel, indeed.

5. For the same reason I torment all the neighborhood dogs
by barking. I can sound just like a German Shepherd and I'll sit out on the deck and bark and get every dog (and there's a bunch of them) within hearing distance barking. I sometimes even get the coyotes yipping.

Because it's fun.

I live next door to two yappy ass little furballs. I love all dogs, except these two. I can't even open my back door without them barking their damn fool heads off if they're out. So I always let my dog out if I know they're there and he goes straight to the chain link fence, growl at them, bark right in their faces, then turns to the side and hikes his leg and usually has good enough aim to pee on one of 'ems fur. Then I take him back inside, tell him what a good dog he is and give him a treat.

I hate those dogs.

7. I love to go to my friend's house in Austin
and run out into the backyard with their two giant dogs, suddenly point to the trees and yell "SQUIRRELS!!! GET THE SQUIRRELS!!"

Drives them BATSHIT and they bark their loud asses off.

Yeah, my friend loves me. Despite it all.
