My husband takes so long to get ready when we have to go somewhere that requires "dressing up". What gives?

I can get ready for anything in twenty minutes, shower and shaving included. Maybe he is taking a long time because he doesn't want to go.

I just hate going to funerals, calling hours of my loved ones. It's just so sad. I go out of respect.

5. I don't get how quick some people can be |
|
Never less than half an hour to do things at all properly; if I really want to spend time easily stretches over an hour.
What sort of time are we talking about here? Less than 40 minutes, and I'm afraid I have no sympathy.

8. My husband takes a long time to get ready |
|
My father commented on this about how my then boyfriend took longer to get ready than either of his daughters as we were waiting for him to get ready. The getting ready thing is a gender stereotype although women are expected to do more things like putting on make up and such which do cause women to take longer if all other things were equal. I think that whether one gets ready as quickly as possible or takes one's time or somewhere in between has something to do about how one grew up. For example, when my parents said that we were leaving at a certain time, we left at exactly that time and therefore had to be ready by then. His parents are more flexible that way and it may relly be a half hour or more before they are really going to leave. He knew that he had more time.
