My first post...
Edited on Tue Feb-15-05 08:10 PM by FarLeftRage
Heh... I found my first "allowed" post(After the first 10, as a newbie) on DU (From 2002).

It had 2 repies and it was in the "Bush, Conservatives and Conservatism" forum in the old DU.

Here it is:

Who remembers Lee Atwater? I sure do.I remember the day he was elected the RNC chairman. By his own self-evaluation, Atwater was "one cocky guy" who authored the criminal Bush's down and dirty political campaign back in 1988. Using his own astringent tongue, Atwater promised to "strip the bark off that little bastard", with that being none other than Michael Dukakis. A prime example of Atwater's "naked cruelty" was the now infamous "Willie Horton" ad and not only that, but the branding of all liberals as "unpatriotic" also stand out to be shining examples of this. Atwater had an almost unnatural affection of Machiavelli and no doubt, it blinded him to the truth that this country was and still is just about caught up in its ruthless ambitions and moral decay. These two factors no doubt were precipitated by Reagan's 1980 election or maybe even before that and have become more rampant when the small-minded bastards and bitches of intolerance and greed (forerunners of the present freepers) solidified their wretched control of the government. Atwater's motives, thoughts and actions became the prime moral example and creed of the conservative republican party. Although Atwater later "repented and apologised" to Dukakis on his death bed, I for one, still feel his acts of infamy from beyond his grave. I suppose that many of you are wondering why I bring him up, well this is one of the many reasons for my Far Left Rage... How about you?

I hope it is not too boring.
