For everyone who is digital video savvy: I need urgent help...

I'm currently working on a "Behind the Scenes" digital video for a local film production company. I just finished making a preview of the video, which they need tomorrow. They don't like VHS or Digital8 tapes, so I need to make them a mini-DV. I shot the video on a Digital8 camera, and have edited the footage into an AVI file, using Adobe Premiere 6.0 as well as Pinnacle Studio 8.0. I was successfully able to upload the video onto those two tapes, but I can't do the same with this bloody "Samsung Mini-DV Digital-cam" they've loaned me.

I'm using a 1394 connection, but neither program seems to be able to connect with this particular camera. The file plays on the programs, and the camera seems to react when I plug in the 1394, but the video never shows up on the viewfinder, just blue.

I'm using a five year-old HP PC with W98SE, but it's never had trouble with my other digital camera.

So HELP, PLEASE!!!

I had to deal with this and I searched the internet for the right drivers for days using a USB 2.0 cable.

I finally used a firewire cable (might be the 1394 thing you are talking about) and it worked.

Can you just burn the video to a regular dvd or cd?
