She's 40,she has 2 adorible girls from a precious marriage.

7. My friends did this -- and got twins!

She had an older boy by her ex-husband. He didn't have any kids when they married, so they had another boy. They thought they'd try for a third -- and maybe get a little girl.

They had two premature girls with "twin-to-twin" syndrome (most children with this do not make it), born in August when they were due in November. It was touch and go for a while, but now they are happy, bubbily three year olds in a family of FOUR!

Anyhoo, good luck to your brother and his "old lady" (she's really not that old!) I am an only child and I wish I were an aunt to some kids. I do have a couple of terrific nephews by marriage, and we just saw them last week in Florida.

My husband had three kids, 14, 12 and 9 when we got married in 1973. His wife had died of cancer at age 34. I brought two children to the marriage, ages 3 and 2, after my 1971 divorce from their father.

When my intended groom asked me what I wanted for a wedding present, I chuckled, "Get yourself FIXED!" And he did! Ninety days after we were married, I held his hand at the urologist's office while he snipped two little tubes. Vasectomy was the best wedding gift I ever got!
