Who watches the new show "House"?
I love it, but due to work I missed the pilot episode, which I assume explains why he walks with a limp.

He hinted last night he was shot. Is that the reason?

Does anyone know? Does anyone care?

1. I can't remember
if they explained his limp. They did explain that he was always in pain and that nothing could be done about it.

I do love this program and tape it.

2. Yes, it was a misdiagnosis.
The muscle inside his leg started to die. If it had been properly diagnosed, it could have been saved. But it wasn't so the leg has been permanantly crippled, he has dead muscle in it.

What did you think about last night's episode, by the way?

3. Very good, like every episode I've seen so far.
I don't know what I would have done if I was the parent, and I had been lied to by him once. You have a good liver there, and you just punched out the doc who is only making your son worse.

Very dramatic stuff. I especially love the interaction between House and the other three primary docs.

4. Love the show...
I thought he sort of explained the "dying muscle" thing in the first episode...something about a a stroke (blood clot in the leg muscle). I could be wrong.

5. He said he had an infarction in his leg
which means a lack of blood flow, probably caused by a clot--this would lead to a lot of dead tissue and probably nerve damage, which is where most of the pain would come from.
