Animal Stories News Flash: Uncle Lar & Little Tommy Back On Radio

For those with fond memories of the Big 89...WLS...Uncle Lar & Tommy are back on a new station. It's 1690 AM (yep...the nosebleed part of the dial). The station should be able to cover the Chicago area real well during the day and should also be able to get out to about a 150 or so radius of Chicago (Milwaukee, Rockford, South Bend).

3. It's A Brand New Station From Chicago

They just fired up yesterday and I haven't found either a website or any audio. I think that'll be coming in the next couple weeks.

But beware: CHEAP CHANNEL.

Looked at posts while I was posting edit: They were either live this morning or recently recored. Uncle Lar was doing his take on Arnold's groping.

4. Lujack Rules!

I remember when he won Billboard's Air Personality of the Year award. Lyle Dean went out to interview him and Lar ended up with, "Now if you'll excuse me, I've got something important to do. I've got to shovel all this snow off my driveway."

Impossible as it seems, Radio has fallen even further from its former self than TV has. It may be beyond the powers of even a Lujack to save it.
