Harry Potter book six NOT coming out this summer
According to Amazon.co.uk the suppliers say it "will not be available in the foreseeable future." Anyone have the scoop? My kids will want to know.

3. Amazon US says July 16th
I think it's probably okay--if it were delayed, it would be major news.

Fact: According to several online booksellers, the regular edition will be 672 pages, while the deluxe edition will be 704 pages.
Updated: February 11, 2005
Rumor: There will be a deluxe edition of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" published on the July 16, 2005 publication date.
Fact: That's true. In addition to the regular edition, many booksellers are already taking orders for the deluxe edition, which will be in a slipcase and have special illustrations.

7. UPDATE: amazon.uk.co corrected iteself this am
Said all deliveries to British addresses will proceed on July 6. We always order the British versions because the US ones edit out the "British" terms. (like jumper=sweater, etc.) Yuk.

8. Me too!
After I read how they dumbed down the American editions of the first book, I decided it was Brit-speak all the way for me.

10. Thank goodness....
My kids would have a cow if I told them it was being postponed.

July should be a good month between the release of this book and the Tim Burton Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

12. I wonder if it's coordination with the printers
I myself just had to delay an in-stock date by a few days for a book because we have to use an overseas printer, unexpectedly. With a print run the size of HP's, they have to use many different plants, so maybe the delay in release is related to the supply chain.

I cannot believe I just used the phrase "supply chain" in the Lounge. Ack!
