Just about everybody issuing security upgrades (ZA, SS&D, A-A, IE)
That's to say Zone Alarm (new version), Spybot Search & Destroy and Ad-Aware (new definitions) and Internet Explorer (yet another security hole supposedly plugged). Just passing along the word for anybody who hasn't noticed, especially the ten other people still using IE.:D

1. Thanks for the info!
:toast:

Another IE security hole? That browser has more holes than swiss cheese! I'm so glad I use Firefox. :-)

2. BEWARE the latest "Schmoo group" IDN exploit
Very nasty little thing. You can be at a crook's website that looks IDENTICAL to your bank's website. You enter you password and *SNAG* you're the latest victim of identify theft!

Read about it here: http://angrygirl.blogspirit.com

4. That's called phishing
You'll probably get the Citibank one sooner or later, too, as well as Paypal, Suntrust, etc, etc, etc. I get a gazillion phishing emails purportedly from Earthlink, which is really my ISP, but since they're always from "EarthlinkWeb Access Representative" or something similarly martian sounding, they're pretty easy to see through.

It's thoughtful to send the email to the bank or ISP's abuse people, and it helps them catch the swine. Directions are available at their real sites.
