2. No
I had lymphoma in 1987 and that is a permanent exclusion from donating blood, unless I am donating to myself.

5. Last I heard, gay men can't donate
Regardless of their HIV status. I'm negative and compeltely clean, but I don't think I can donate. I wonder if that's changed.

8. Me neither
Because getting stuck with a needle makes me pass out. This was never a problem until a few years ago when I gave blood in a drive in our office complex. The twit phlebotomist, when checking how much blood was in the bag, shifted the needle in my arm. So that every time my heart beat, the blood rushing past the needle would cause it to vibrate against the wall of the vein. Now I can't even have a blood draw without getting dizzy.

15. I passed out the first and only time I donated

in college . eons ago.

I have the most common blood type. So I was on an airplane flight one day with a blood collector, and I pointed that out, IOW, mine is the most common, so who needs it?

He made me think .. said, so that's the one that is required most.
My type is also considered a 'universal donor'. The "a" and "b" folks can use it.

If it didn't just knock me out I would do it a lot again. And if any circumstance came up with a friend or family member, I would absolutely give my blood even though it results in a few minutes of unconsciousness for me. (afaik)

14. huh
that is the blood type they *always* seem to be looking for around here. It is very rare, and not many donors for it. I am A negative, and they are also always looking for my blood type, but alas, I cannot give.
