Its nice that my son's friend is a mechanic. One who LOVES to work
on Fords, no less.

I had an electrical problem with my 80 Bronco. The shop I normally take it to told me to tow it in, he's put it on the scope for $80.00, then tell me what the parts & labor will be. My son's buddy, all 20 years old came by after work, looked at it for 15 minutes, discovered a ground wire that came loose, and fixed it. He told me that he's do it for free but I made him take $50.00 for possibly saving me hundreds.

Thank god for honesty and exuberance.

2. He is a great kid. Works 18 hrs a day too.
Two mechanic jobs. Not because he has to, he wants to. Just loves to get greasy and fix cars.
I want to adopt him.

5. Remember not to patronize your old shop anymore if you can help it.
Tell them why if they ask. Dont envolve your son's friend by name. But, make it known if asked. Good on your son's friend.
