Poll question: Best Live Album

"Live at Leeds" captures the Who in all their fury. I was totally blown away the 1st time I listened to that album. The expanded CD is even better.

Honorable mention to The Who's "Live at the Isle of Wright Festival 1970"

Good stuff. It's packaged with 4 tracks from a concert in Lochem that same year.

My Juno goes out of tune all the time...it's so irritating when you get started on a song and realize you've been out of tune the whole time.

I actually heard that version of Decades several times before i heard the studio version, so it actually sounded weird in tune to me.

that release. He was amazing by the time he was seventeen. Ah, what might have been.

At least he is back to doing good music these days, touring with Jack Bruce Band and Ringo's Superstars, among other projects.

11. As much as it pains me to say this...

..."Live Bullet" is one hell of an album. I'm not much of a Seger fan, but damn that thing rocked.

"Live at Leeds" and "The Allman Brothers live at the Filmore" come in second for me. "Rattle and Hum" was also pretty darn good, imo.

Warren Zevon's "Stand In The Fire" from 1980. Sadly, out of print.

Favorites include Skynyrd's "One More From The Road", Allman Brothers "Live At The Fillmore East", Gov't Mule's "With A Little Help From Our Friends", and Bob Seger's "Live Bullet".

Duke's best band, just doin' what they did. As a child of the 50's, who saw the Beatles live and heard Elvis perform in a gym, I've got to say that rock 'n' roll is not the best popular music that ever was.

34. Alice Donut, "Dry-Humping the Cash Cow"

Awesome. Recorded live in small clubs, but with cheering-crowd swells edited in from the live albums of arena bands, and parodic song intros also edited in, based on iconic between-song patter from, again, more famous bands' live albums. That, and Alice Donut just flat-out fuckin' rocked live.
