Officials Investigating How Handgun Wound Up In 4th Grader's Bookbag
<snip>

LAUDERHILL, Fla. -- Broward County Sheriff's officials are investigating how a handgun ended up in the book bag of a fourth-grader.

Hugh Graf with the sheriff's office says the girl found the .380-caliber handgun when she was looking through her bag and told her teacher that she had to talk to her mom about the gun.

Officials say 88 plastic bags similar to those used to package cocaine were also found in the girl's book bag. The bags were turned over to a school resource officer.

School officials have commended the 10-year-old girl for doing the right thing. Investigators have questioned her mother and officials say the mother has no idea how the gun got in the bag.

1. The world seems to be going to hell in a row boat
doesn't it. Now how do you suppose it got there. The Mom no doubt knows fully well how it got there along with the baggies. They were probably hers or the boyfriends

6. Yes especially BUSH'S total lack of personal responsibility. He's killed
almost 1500 US men, women & teens in Iraq so far, plus 100,000+ Iraqis, God only knows how many Afghanis. And the jury's still out on the 911 deaths.

7. But 25 million Iraqis & 18 million Afgans are free
Doesn't that mean anything? Even Maher said it is a good thing on Larry King the other night.

Just another thought: so Syria & Iran are "teaming up". Imagine if Saddam had been able to join this group of killers - but he cannot now can he?

9. What Hop meant
Is that they're free to be blown apart while sleeping in the rubble that remains of their homes, free to not have clean water or electricity, free to watch their kids being raped in an effort to obtain information that doesn't exist.

10. Ahhhh yes, THAT kind of free.
Don't forget free for women in Afghanistan to still be oppressed; that's something new for the women of Iraq to experience the freedom of.

Too bad that while the vast majority of Iraqis have been demanding US troops get the hell out of Iraq for months now, bush just ignores them and the permanent US bases continue to be built in Iraq.

Too bad they're worse off now for food and water and heat and safety and security and jobs than they were before bush's illegal invasion & occupation.
