Bruce Conjures "Devils"
Springsteen to release new album in April
Bruce Springsteen will release his nineteenth album, Devils & Dust, on April 26th. Produced by Brendan O'Brien, who handled 2002's The Rising, the album was recorded in Los Angeles and Springsteen's native New Jersey.
Devils features a combination of new compositions and some that Springsteen has been carrying around for the past decade. The title track is a fresh commentary that touches on the war on Iraq, while Springsteen debuted "The Hitter" and "Long Time Comin'" on his 1996 solo acoustic tour in support of The Ghost of Tom Joad. However, while "All the Way Home" shares its title with a Springsteen composition that appeared on Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes' 1991 Better Days album, it is an entirely different song.
Springsteen, who won a Grammy for Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance for "Code of Silence" on Sunday, plans to tour after the album's release.
