We need to find out, and are having problems getting the scoop.

1. Police report? Medical report? |
There may be a police report, if police were called to the scene. Not sure whether it is public record in its entirety. Names may be deleted for privacy reasons. Medical report on the person is not public record.

2. Are autopsy reports public? |
If a suicide, there would have been an autopsy.

5. I would think they would be because |
some newspapers carry daily logs of births/deaths. I think the city newspaper that I read online lists them as the coroners report or something like that.
It's how we found out that my daughter's childhood schoolmate committed suicide.

6. You can get a death report. My father in law shot himself, and, while the |
police came, the coroner was the only one who filed an actual report. The police just log it as a run.

7. The coroner released the body today. |
And that's how we found out the cause of death (police info). It was not what we had been told prior.

8. Ask them when a death certificate will be available. This is what we had |
to do. The police logged it as Run: Suicide. The coroner sent us the death certificate. Not sure if it's the same across the country. It took us about a month to get the certificate. good luck a littleclark. My heart goes out to you.
