Freemason's designed Manitoba's provincial legisltive building?

Started in 1913,sets of 13 steps lead up to it. Sculptures of Medusa and animals. What the heck are freemasons? I just saw this on CBC news.

4. It's just a "secret" fraternal order

Most of our founding fathers were Masons. Most of the men in my dad's side of the family are Masons. Khephra was a Mason.

The Shriners are Masons.

Good guys. Kinda weird with the "secret society" and a fascination with Egyptian art and all that, but no harm done IMO. And they do a hell of a lot of good charity work.
