2. It's not an acronym,
it's an onomatopoeia (a word that sounds like a sound).

3. I don't think it's an acronym - I think it represents a
lightning bolt from heaven coming down to strike us down - but I could be wrong.

6. ZOT = Freeper-slang for BAN
I have a good friend on FR and I was joining as a "conservative" which actually gained 5,000+ views and I asked him what it meant. It has to do with some evil kitty and one getting banned,.

7. Terrific 1960s comic strip, "B.C.", by Johnny Hart, had an anteater in it.
Edited on Fri Feb-18-05 06:33 PM by KrazyKat
When his tongue came down to snatch a bug, the onomatopoetic sound "Zot!" accompanied it.

AFAIK, that's the origin of "Zot."

UC Irvine, which was founded in 1964, I believe, took the Anteater as their mascot from the popular comic strip.

On edit: Apparently the strip's creator, Johnny Hart, became a fundie-freeper somewhere along the line, and began to insert "Christian" messages into the strip. :puke:
