Is he Quaker and they were making fun or does it have something to do with ducks?

I come from a long line of Quakers and I was teased occasionally as a kid. Mostly about the man's picture on Quaker oats "is he your grandfather" kind of stuff.

I just did that, but it was sort of a different take on it.

Don't be offended... the busiest road in my town is named after the Quakers. They were an integral part in establishing our area.

So um, don't be mad :)

I'm proud of the rich Quaker history:

They were in the forefront of Women's right to vote

They believed in higher education for women way before it was the norm

They were involved in the Underground Railroad

They believe in equality to the extreme, that is why they used "Thee" and "Thou" it kept everyone one the same level

They do not swear to God to tell the truth in a court of law, they believe the truth should always be told

Many are pacifists

I read somewhere that the Quaker oats used the Quaker name and picture of a Quaker Man because Quakers were associated with trust, and they wanted people to trust their oats were good.
