10. hehe
I'm good thankies, although I'm a little pissed.... tonight I learned from someone with "life experience" which means they're "informed" that I'm "uninformed" because I'm a teenager. :eyes:

11. good to hear
:-)

and yeah, i was right in the middle of the little spat and that person is now on my ignore list. It's sad to know that everything i learned from my two year internship with a state senator counts for nothing because of my age. Are there stupid, uninformed teenagers? certianly, as are there stupid, uniformed 40 year olds. But I also have friends my age (21) and younger who i seriously see running this country in the future.

12. Well yeah
Of you seen 21 year olds who will be running this country(if there's anything left after Bush in done that is...) I mean JFK was teenager once... everyone was. I think some people might have bad experiences with teenagers, just like they might have bad experiences with adults.

I also think, some people might be jealous.

"OMG! He's some young kid who knows more then I do! But wait, I'm the grown up here, I should be in charge. Here I'll them they can't understand because they're too young, that'll fix them"

Or maybe not jealous for that reason, but maybe because they realize they weren't that smart when they were that age. I don't know, what ever. Act how you want. When these "stupid" teenagers are older and have "more experience" and they're running the country, they'll thank them for doing such a good job and being so informed(because they have been for so long), and for staying informed.

Whoa.. didn't mean to make that so long. :o

13. you got it
"The people who oppose your ideas are inevitably those who represent the established order that your ideas will upset."
-Anthony D'Angelo

I posted that in one of the other pro-teenager threads and i think it's so true. A lot of people here claim to be progressive and want change, but don't dare ask them to change. it's really sad to think how many bright kids are being suppressed for the sole fact that they're kids.
I know adults who know they aren't that smart and who didn't finish or go to college, so now they want to do anything they can to make sure me and others do get that education they missed out on. But I think this is first place where i've actually seen adults try to suppress young people. i'll tell you, I'm loving all the rallying that's now going on by the young people here. It shows we can't and won't be kept down and it makes me optimistic for the future.

as does this:

16. Very true!
That's a good thought. And not ALL young people voted, only 50%, right? Well if we can get more young people to vote, who knows what will happen. :7

18. yup
and I will admit that more people vote the older they get. but we definitely do need to raise the percentage of young voters, even if it reflects the national precentage.
