Should I try to fly? I keep having dreams that I can
but these are like nonstop for the past couple nights. i have dreams where i jump up and if i concentrate hard enough, i can keep myself in the air and start flying. i think last night i picked someone up and was carrying them with me. it felt so real. i wanna try it so bad but that would be like jumping off a building and thinking i'm gonna fly and then WHOOPS......not a good idea

1. Make sure that if you try, you're over a soft surface
Jumping over your bed, for example.

2. Please keep your feet on the ground!
Maybe it was symbolic of intellectual flying...and when you picked up someone else, it meant you shared what you'd learned.

6. Why not just see where your "dream flying" takes you.
Edited on Sat Feb-19-05 09:41 PM by merh
Tonight, when you dream, don't settle for around the house, go out a window and fly to some exotic place.

If you try it in a conscious state, be sure you have a soft place to land.

Good luck and happy flying! :hi:

7. That's one of the signs of a lucid dream.
Next time your flying just go "Hey I'm dreaming" After that your in the drivers seat. Enjoy.

10. i think i have done that before
for some reason though, when i do that, i end up in a light sleep and i'm basically making up what happens. is that what lucid dreaming is?

9. No, but ride music instead ...
"A ghost of aviation
She was swallowed by the sky
Or by the sea
Like me,
She had a dream to fly...

Like Icarus ascending
On beautiful, foolish arms
O Amelia,
It was just a false alarm..."

11. I can fly in most of my dreams.
Then again, I recently had a dream where I was taking a flight to Tampa with the Three Stooges, along with all of their wives. I'm still trying to figure that one out.

15. He fell headfirst off his balcony and broke his neck. And then his
wife came home and found him still alive...but she didn't like him because he was a rat bastard with an odd baby fetish, so she stood there and watched him die. :hi:

17. I have those dreams a lot too, they are my favorite!
If you concentrate you can go higher, and direct where you go. I absolutely love them.
I understand it's good luck too :)
Hey you should rent "Waking Life", check it out! Wow...
Anyway see you in the clouds :)

19. I had the same dream once a long time ago
I wrote a poem about it the next day.
-----

A Special Dream

I had a special dream last night--
I dreamed that I could fly
away, beyond the floating clouds--
I danced up in the sky.

The treetops were my stepping stones
to reach the summer air
so clear, so warm and sparkling blue!
I wish I was still there.

My dream was very real to me--
I thought of it all day.
I want to go back to my sky--
I wish there were a way!

To fly; to fly just like a bird!
To laugh at gravity!
It tasted sweet up in the sky--
like summer wine to me.

I had a special dream last night--
I dreamed that I could be
above the mountains; with the stars!
I flew, and I was free!

21. Check out this site Faye
http://healthfitness.com.au/articles/sleep/flying_dreams.htm

"If you are able to contribute another style of dreaming flight I would be interested to hear from you, so please drop me an email. tahnee@healthfitness.com.au .

Whatever the flying dream, the timing of the dream is likely to signify mental recovery and the realization of a learning experience. They usually follow episodes of depression or intense periods in your life. Even when the dream flight is to escape danger it shows that your psychological state is on the way up, you have found a solution and you are dealing with a change in yourself or a change in your life!. It is all good!"

Have your flying dreams reoccurred since your got your job? If so, according to this article, you have had a mental recovery and that makes sense, doesn't it?

22. if that is the case for me right now
Edited on Sat Feb-19-05 10:43 PM by Faye
i think it has to do with my job. i have never felt this way about a job or company before and i am THIS close to being hired permanently (this all happened before with this company but the CFO was being an ass). I now have all the managers on my side, which i didn't last time - and it just feels so different - i always felt like i belonged there and every temp job i had since then just didn't compare. and it's not just about getting the job at this company, but about finally having a steady job with steady money and being able to pay all my bills off and be stable, which i haven't really been in over a year.

i literally used to have dreams about going back to this place!!! so maybe that is it.....hmmmmm

23. Well, why not... see that window over there?
Just kidding - I had flying dreams during my childhood. I could even fly through walls, long before dead people walked through walls on film in "Ghost".

27. if you fly in your dreams...
...it means you are not grounded right now. your head is in the sky, far from reality. that's the jungian approach, anyway.
