I was imagining that we'd go to a quieter bar where we could sit around a table a talk, not a bar with a DJ blasting loud rap-type music. now my ears are ringing... :grr:

In the batting order of places not to be at:

a) a place with a DJ - that's an automatic leave, though I wouyld likely end up having one drink before remembering that any place with a DJ is a place not to be.

b) a place with a DJ playing rap-type music - that's an automatic "not even go fully through the door before leaving".
