Poll question: Are you an audiophile?
Edited on Sun Feb-20-05 04:20 PM by brentspeak
When listening to music at home, how picky are you when it comes to sound quality?

1. Sound quality isn't too big a deal to me...
...but I love music and listen to it constantly. So far, it's been more about hearing as much music as I can. In fact, the majority of my collection is old, sometimes pretty beat-up records that I pick up at old record stores, flea markets, and garage sales. Perhaps as I get older I'll care more about sound quality. haha

2. i just love that snap crackle and pop
of a vinyl record...

and just about nothing beats an old tinny jazz tune like some early louis armstrong or duke ellington or bix beiderbecke

3. I agree with you on that
There's something nostalgic about vinyl with almost any pre-90s music.

4. I don't care how it sounds
just so long as I can hear something. I need my music.

5. None of your choices apply to me, though I'm very picky :)
I rarely use MP3 format, and the majority of what I listen to was recorded live, so remixes are an impossibility.

I know how to find quality audio equipment at reasonable prices that will give accurate reproduction.

So, none of the above, but I am picky :)
