2. Yep
I'm relaxed while on DU and my senior babies are soooooo relaxed. No rap, never have been a fan, guess I am old fashion.
I am from the age of folk music and I do not hear that anymore.

Oh my gosh! A racist, never been called that before either.

When my kids were little and wound up, we would turn on classical music and sit in front of our fish tank. Well, the wound up toddler and preschooler would konk out within a few minutes.

I love classical music. You like your type of music and I like mine. Isn't it great to be a democrat? We are not forced to listen to Gospel music .

4. Perhaps you missed all the rap flame fests
I was being snarky. Lots of "If you don't like rap you are a racist" comments going on.

Personally, give me classical as well. :-)

Just got the latest issue of BBC Music Magazine with a CD of Mahler's 6th. Yummy! Live recording by the BBC Philharmonic, recorded 2002. A darn good performance! Not the best I've heard, but what the hell.

3. I'm kicking back and listening to N'Sync
sped up to 78rpm, while shooting heroin between my toes and taking pot shots out the front window with my AK-47.

Very relaxing...

5. Sounds dreamy....
I have to get one of those little doodads.

Right now, i'm having this desire to hear the Gypsy Kings, maybe because they played them on Air America last week.

But the kids and I often listen to Classical on the way to college in the morning. It's like a morning shower for the mind and spirit ....

6. I've listened to these recently..

The Thrills - So Much For The City
Eisley - Room Noises
Marty Stuart - The Pilgrim
Lee Ann Womack - There's More Where That Came From
Jimmy Eat World - Futures

All highly recommended!

Also heard a few songs and samples from up-and-comer Aslyn. I don't think this pop-rocker is ready. She has more talent than Hilary Duff, but her CD is just average. Now Brie Larson IS ready IMO..

Also heard samples from Tori Amos - The Beekeeper. I liked what I heard, even though it's really long. You wouldn't think albums that long would play to her strengths, but she's done well. I think I'll be buying it.
