1. Aw, man - don't tempt me

I'll settle for two scoops, and you can keep the peanuts.

I actually have a family recipe for homemade vanilla ice cream. I tinkered with it a little to give it some kick, but I still hand-crank the stuff in my grandmother's White Mountain freezer.

5. Grand dad

Had one of them.

My sisters and I we crank and crank and crank.

And then we eat and eat and eat.

One day Grand dad tripped while carrying the ice cream to the table. The soft ice cream flew out of the bowl, "splat" on the floor. It sounded like and looked like the cow flops in the pasture.

We laughed and laughed and laughed.

Sigh. Poor Gran Dad.

4. I stopped for a Culver's Turtle Sundae this afternoon

in the middle of a snowstorm. Vanilla ice cream, carmel, chocolate syrup, pecans, and a cherry. :-)
