On Animosity.
It seems to me that some people find nothing wrong with insulting others because of their political beliefs. They wouldn't feel the tiniest bit of guilt at lieing to or missleading someone who doesn't agree with them politicaly.

I know that as soon as I post this, someone will mention that 'freepers' or 'repugs' are the main culprits. But I beg to differ- there are plenty of conservatives and republicans that are nicew people. There are also plenty of democrats and liberals that I would care not to have met.

I know that politics is something that gets under everyone's skin, but there is a point at which you just have to step back and look at the whole picture from a non-partisan perspective. Remember, every coin has two sides. One can be just as good as the other.

It's the National Pastime. Anger and negativity are more "fun" then rational discourse; Sneering dismission of anybody else's likes is "cool". And it's just as popular over here on this side as it is on "their" side.

It's depressing, but it's not going away anytime soon. Probably never.
