Does anyone watch Iron Chef America?
I was watching it, then turned over to the Poker tour during a commercial, then forgot to turn back and see who won. Anyone see it?

2. Ah, thanks!
Based on the judges responses, that's what I thought was going to happen. But I wanted to make sure.

Many thanks!

5. No Problem, Priller
rpm~
I agree on that one. I prefer the original. Sakai rocks! I like the "how dare you challenge me" look that he gets everytime a challenger picks him. :D

4. Yeah. I just wished they had the audience at least.
It added a lot to the atmosphere.

The American version just doesn't have the sense of grandeur the original had. With the original, you saw them as almost Samurai, really doing battle for their honor. We just don't have that kind of romance.

6. Nothing beats the very surreal original Iron Chef
The American version is a cheap imitation.

7. The American version sucks...
There is nothing like the voiceovers and facial expressions in the original.

8. I also think
that Mark Dacascos goes too far overboard in trying to imitate Chairman Kaga.

10. Imitation in this case is not flattery
There is only one Chairman Kaga

12. I love Kaga's outfits
with all the ruffles and frills. Very odd.

9. I enjoyed the original Iron Chef,
but not the American version. It's just not the same.

11. I agree with everyone about the American version
being a pale imitation of the original.

Still, I like to cook and I enjoy watching the chefs work. And although I find Alton Brown personally annoying, he is full of useful information.

That said, the original was not perfect. I get really tired of watching them pull out the foie gras and the truffles and the abalone EVERY SINGLE TIME!

My girlfriend is half Japanese, lived in Tokyo for a while, and she absolutely loves Michiba-san. She thinks Morimoto is a punk.
