Waking up at 5 am , another one of our dogs in pain
Last couple weeks our bulldog died, now watching very very old basset hound crying and moaning in the corner. This is not good. Say some prayers, etc. Giving her small aspirin, staying awake with her hoping for the best but she is 12 and old. Husband's had dog since she was a small baby, this has been a lousy last couple of months.

3. good thoughts....
coming your way, Mari.

I'm so sorry. Bulldogs and Bassets are two of my favorites. I lost my old cat last week, so I'm accutely aware of how hard it can be.

If she's crying and moaning, get to a vet. You may have to make a very hard decision, but she needs YOU to decide what's best for her.

I'm sorry. I'll be thinking of you.

5. sigh...
poor old girl.

It's been said that dogs' only fault is that they don't live long enough.

I hope it's something fixable. Best of luck!

6. They let you know when the time is right.
Maybe you already do.

12 isn't all that old for a dog, but it's not young either.

8. well, bassets usually only live 13 years
tops...shes old, fat, had a long life...just moans and seems tired...screams like shes in pain while shes trying to sleep
I think this might be it, and we wont let her go on much longer in pain..
thanks.

7. Sending good vibes
I'll be thinking of you and your dog, Mari.

I don't think she is too old. The best thing is take her to the vet, if she is still in pain so he/che can check her. Remember that dogs are like us - sometimes you have stomach pain or headache or leg hurts and you want to scream. But you don't go to see a doc for a headache... I hope she will be fine :loveya:

I now have my sisters dog and I just can not take this any more. My last cat was with me as long as my kids. 18 years.

And she is getting old. Poor girl. My thoughts are with you. This is a horribly hard decision for you to make. Hug your dog for all of us. to you too.
