RIP JOHN RAITT
Condolences to Bonnie.... John would come up and perform "Pajama Game" in Ogunquit well into the 1980's, I think he was still playing the lead into his late sixties :) Farewell John.

===

LOS ANGELES - John Raitt, the robust baritone who created the role of Billy Bigelow in the original New York production of "Carousel" and sang with Doris Day in the movie "Pajama Game," died Sunday. He was 88.

3. Aw, damn.
Can't say I know his voice well, but he sounds like a tremendous person and Bonnie's got one of the best voices singing today, IMO. I just read his bio and he went to college in my hometown, Redlands, California - a great little liberal arts college.

NO MORE RIPs today, please! NO MORE! Hunter and Sandra and John are too much as it is!

5. This line in Bonnie's "Nick of Time" song always touched me
I see my folks, they’re getting old, I watch their bodies change...
I know they see the same in me, and it makes us both feel strange...
No matter how you tell yourself, it’s what we all go through...
Those eyes are pretty hard to take when they’re staring’ back at you.
Scared you’ll run out of time.

---Bonnie Raitt from Nick of Time

7. I am so sorry! What a nice man!
I saw Bonnie Raitt, in concert, years ago, and she brought her Dad up on stage, since he was in town. I guess we knew who was the third celebrity to die, today.;(

8. Didn't he originate the role of Billy Bigelow in "Carousel"?
Another original leaves us.

Peace to you and to those who loved you.
