Early morning rant thread

Good lord, I think that yesterday was stressful on a lot of us. So, a rant thread seemed like a good idea.

For me, yesterday was pretty goddamned surreal. I had someone close to me try to commit suicide. It was just... wow. I don't even know. This morning seems a lot more trivial than last night, but I was 3/4s of the way through a perfectly decent Howard Dean CG drawing, and I got the blue screen of death. Frustrating.

His name was Hunter Thompson. Never met the man, but he's the reason I do what I do. 100% the reason. I was thinking about maybe going to law school, and then I read 'Generation of Swine,' finished it the day the LA riots broke out as a matter of fact, and I was off to the races.

He ate his gun. I assume he had his reasons. Doesn't speak well for my chosen profession, though.

Paul Wellstone. And when he died, it hit me hard, but honestly, the only thing I could do was keep on doing the work that he couldn't, yanno? You've just kinda gotta pick up where they left off. I'm sorry.
