Ipod 'Shuffle'
Anyone own one of these yet? I'm looking at the 1G model. Perfect for personal application and my wallet. Just looking to see what other's think of this particular model versus the Ipod.

Thanks!

1. I will get one soon for my business. Everyone I know who has one
uses it regularly, solid music of your choice, all day if you want it.

2. Unless you need thousands of songs on you ALL THE TIME...
or portable mass storage for backing up huge files to move from place to place, the iPod shuffle is perfect.

Have any specific questions? I'd be happy to answer. :)

3. Specific question:
In all the product descriptions I've read, they've mentioned nothing about the ability to play 'tracklists' in order.

This may sound like a self-explainatory question, being the product is called the 'Shuffle'. But is there an option to simply play tracklists in order, rather in shuffle mode.

THANKS!

5. Of course.
There are two main play modes, 'Normal' and 'Shuffle' both of which are triggered with a switch on the back. 'Normal' will play all the songs in the player in order the way they were organized in iTunes before you transfered them to the iPod shuffle, but if you want to mix it up a bit, you can switch to 'shuffle' mode and the player will change the order of the songs.

There is also an 'Autofill' feature in iTunes made specifically for the shuffle, which, if you want it to, will randomly select songs from your iTunes library to transfer to the shuffle every time you plug it in. :)

But yes, there is no problem listening to songs or playlists in order.

6. Excellent...
This is of most importance to me due to the genre of music I care to listen to most frequently, live audience recorded performances from The Grateful Dead, Phish, MMW, et. al.

This seems to be an optimally affordable solution to keep tunes in my pocket and my mind musically active all day long, (I am a landscape laborer).

THANKS again, for your input!

7. Perfect for you - small, light, durable, cheep
I finally saw one in the flesh yesterday. . .it is just the ticket,

BTW, there is a little switch on the back that you set for "Shuffle" or "In Order"
