Has anyone else heard Arrested Development might be cancelled?

I've just been hearing rumors on the Internets about this. I really hope it's not true, but knowing Fox's track record, things don't look to good.

It's too good, too smart, too funny to survive on a network. Maybe Comedy Central could pick it up.

The BBC has money in the show (and airs it abroad). Ron Howard (Opie) is the Exec Producer and it won 5 Emmies.

I think they will get at least 3 seasons out of it. Even if Fox pulls it, it could air elsewhere (happened with "Sliders").

That show went downhill once they killed off arturo and brought on kari wuherer. Otherwise it was awesome

11. Exactly! I stopped watching when they brought in that new female

character. yuk. She so undermined the "team' feeling of the cast...
The original female, Sabrina LLoyd was on another terrific series: "Sports Night", many of whose cast members are now in other hits series ( Peter Krause "Six Feet Under" and Joshua Malina "West Wing" Felicity Huffman "Desperate Housewives")

Sabrina Lloyd went on to be in "Ed" and she is now in "NUMB3Rs"

EDIT: I see the bandwith has been exceeded. Try doing a google search on ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT and see if you can find any other petitions. I
know there are lots of fans fighting to keep it on the air. It is one of the best shows on TV.

Used to be winning some emmys and critical acclaim meant a lot- now you're no better than "Who's Your Daddy ?"

14. There is a message from the Program Director at the Fox website

that thanks everyone for their letters and calls then states that the show is not cancelled, but it has wrapped for the season with only 18 episodes, an attempt to save money. It should be back next season.

Now all they have to do it market it properly.

But I do know that AD is an expensive show to shoot, so that might explain it.
