I like sailing (or anything that has to do with water) and I read a LOT of books. I play altogether too much Halo 2. I was an unapologetic frat-boy at the U of MN, and don't regret it a bit. I am very liberal.

I have an ok job (not ideal, but a good stepping stone for what I want), part-time student working on a second degree in nursing, and a few months away from my divorce being final. I've had a lot of turbulence in the last few months that has made me a bit stressed to say the least. I started this job after a brief stint with another, rather yucky job. My husband of 13+ years and I filed for divorce along with various other somewhat confusing relationship issues.

I do though have much to be thankful for. I get to move soon (been waiting awhile for that). I have a bit of financial freedom. My ex cleaned up his act enough to, if not be my most ideal romantic partner, an excellent and awesome dad/co-parent with me. I'm healthy. My children are healthy. I have the strength, confidence, and brains to reach my goals (and then some). Things could be much, much worse. In fact, they have been and I'm glad those years are done.

I spend a lot of time with mom stuff, work stuff, but when I'm not, I tend to read a lot. Either here or other assorted stuff. I have a few friends I like to hang with every so often, but overall, I live a rather healthy, temperate, quiet existence for the most part, but that's how I feel most comfortable. I like new experiences, just not chaos.

I picked up my daughter today at a friend's house and the dad (married) was having a jam session on guitars with 5 tall, handsome men all between about 36 and 43.
