I can see the southern Cairngorms from here and there are occasional flashes over the mountains and great claps of thunder afterwards. Never seen a thunderstorm when there is snow on the ground. Very atmospheric...think I'll go and sit outside and watch.

is to expect at least a foot of snow. Usually very wet and heavy snow.
