I love Discworld! Sadly, I can't think of any quotes right now.

4. Give a man a fire and he'll be warm for the rest of the night.
Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

5. Oh lord--Pratchett is a hoot!
"What is it," Isplorith said despairingly, "that makes life worth it?"

Death thought about it.

"CATS. CATS ARE NICE."

Sourcery...

Frankly, I am also a HUGE fan of the witches. I use Nanny Ogg's term "Dire-rears" all the time.

6. I like how it has his female characters with a bit of Oomph.
Most male writers have their fantasy female characters as just one-demensional things.

8. He does do a good job with his female characters.
There are several of his female characters that are just too cool. Like I said, I love the witches, and you have got to admit that the lady that raised the fire dragons (she married Vimes, I think?) Lady Sybil--she's funny as all get out.

I love the lady werewolf on the watch, and the medium is a funny one too...

His men are a lot of fun too. How can anybody NOT love Rincewind? or Cut Me Own Throat Dibbler? Nobby and the Patrician are pretty funny to.

I'm pretty fond of the Librarian and the Luggage too...

I do enjoy Pratchett!

9. "Ook"
Or then there's always "ook". ;) It may be a vital oxygenating biomass to you but it's home to me.

Seriously, I love the thing about how if cats weren't furry and cute we'd realize what evil little psychopaths they are. I think Granny Weatherwax said it. :) Just love her.
