I have decided to endorse the Red Sox Over NY
Edited on Thu Oct-09-03 10:39 AM by AWD
Why? Well, it should be noted that I don't like eaither team. It's VERY hard to give a damn about either one. (I'm a Cleveland Indians fan, you see).

So why do I care now???

Well, I'm a superstitious man. A lot of my beliefs come from theories that involve good fortune and karma.

So here's the basis of why I need Boston to beat New York.

Where's the Democratic Convention next year?
Where's the Republican Convention next year?

There you go. Go Sox.

2. I live in Boston . . .
In one way I agree with you, BUT . . . New York can keep the wins if the Dems can have the win next year :).

4. Then again...

Who won the World Series in 1996, when Clinton won re-election?

Yankees

Who won the World Series in 2000, when Gore was elected, but had it stolen out from under him by Bush and Scalia?

Yankees

Not sure what to make of this.

Definitely root against the Phillies, Tigers, and Dodgers. They won in 1980, 1984, and 1988 and we know what happened in those elections.

;-)

Go Cubs! Then again, a Republican won the last time they won the Series (1908, William Howard Taft).

:scared:

EDIT: Oh, never mind. All this applies to next year's season! :-)

1928 -- Republicans
1932 -- Democrats
1936 -- Democrats
1952 -- Republicans
1956 -- Republicans
1996 -- Democrats
2000 -- Democrats, but that victory was STOLEN!!!!
