to give me cable internet service.
I gave the Customer Rep a piece of my mind...and she said.."I just work here" and I said "Please relay my message of displeasure of this 'link up to a company I cannot support' to your Supervisor."
The Phone line went DEAD...she CUT ME OFF! And..this was after I told her I'd been with Earthlink from the Mindpring days back before to the Sprynet and local ISP days...and that I was a LOYAL DIAL UP Customer!
I said to her: "I've stayed through ALL the transitions but I CANNOT SUPPORT your ALIANCE with TIME/WARNER...because I'm ready to disconnect my Cable service from them because there is NOTHING I CAN WATCH ON MY CABLE SERVICE ANYMORE." She had no idea what I was talking about...I explained further that if I wanted "higher speed access I would go with Bell South over Earthlink if they were in this "alliance with Time/Warner." That's when she said.."I'm only a Rep..." and I said: "Please tell your ...".and phone line went dead where she cut me off.
BOTTOM LINE HERE! These Fucking Corporations DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS OR CUSTOMER "LOYALTY" THEY ARE IN IT FOR THE BUCKS....
AND FUCK THEM ALL....! We Americans MUST TAKE BAKE OUR RIGHTS TO SERVICE! WE MUST MAKE THEM CARE ABOUT CONSUMERS/CUSTOMERS ONCE AGAIN!!!!
Sorry...smoke is coming out of my ears...being "hung up on" is too much. I'm a customer since 1996 FGS.. and Yeah..I know that person was just trying to do their job and probably has 18 Children and NO HEALTH CARE...and is a "single working Mom.." and she just couldn't deal with my vitriol..but STILL ...it's the Principle of the issue.

That AOL was dropping some broadband customers down to dial-up because they couldn't keep up with the broadband demand. Guess this little merger will take care of that problem. :eyes:
Good for you for telling her why you couldn't stay. She probably hung up on you because you're not the first to tell her that.

3. The best thing you can do |
|
imo, is to follow through on your promise of non-support. You'll feel better having acted, since they won't be getting any more of your money.
